How-To Make Paper Flowers

It’s the last Friday before Mother’s Day and we are going to do our last tutorial for our Mother’s Day breakfast in bed. This week we are going to share with you a how-to about making paper flowers that you can use to decorate for Mother’s Day. Nicole has taken the lead for this tutorial; she discovered how to make these flowers (she actually made a bunch for me when I had my tea party birthday party a few years back). Now, grab your supplies and get ready to craft!

P.S. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

Paper Flowers

You will need:

Tissue paper in various colors
Scissors
Floral tape
Floral wire
Ruler

Step One:

Cut four 3 inch by 20 inch pieces of tissue paper.

Step Two:

Roll up the tissue into balls to make the paper look crinkly.

Step Three:

Fold the strips using a small accordion fold.

Step Four:

Choose a length for your flower stem and cut a piece of floral wire that length. Gather the petals together in a flower shape and wrap the bottom of the gathered petals with the wire to help secure them together. Use the floral tape to wrap around the petals and wire as shown in the picture.

Step Five:

Enjoy your flowers. Make a bouquet for mom to put on her breakfast tray or leave a single flower for her.
