DIY Father's Day Card

The countdown to Father’s Day has begun. With only three weeks until Father’s Day we are starting part one of our three part treats for dad blog posts. This week we begin with a bright and cheery card for your dad.

We hope you enjoy this tutorial and have a happy sunny weekend!

DIY Card for Dad
Supplies:

Cardstock cut into a 6 ¾ x 4 ¾ inch card. Chose the colours of cardstock that you would like for your card. We went with bright colours.

Three strips of cardstock in various colours measuring 6 ¾ x ¾ inch

Scissors

Glue/glue tape

Heating tool

Ink

Embossing powder

“Happy Father’s Day” stamp

Step One:

Cut your cardstock into a 6 ¾ x 4 ¾ inch card.

Step Two:

Stamp “Happy Father’s Day” on the strip that will be our centre strip. We chose the bright blue strip to stamp on and we went with a dark blue ink. On a side note, the strips that we are using are left over bits that we have from making our cards. We want nothing to go to waste so we try and use up as many strips as possible. The leftover strips that we have measure the exact length of the card, but we recommend that you leave your strip slightly longer and then trim them so that they aren't too short.

Step Three:

Glue your strips of cardstock to the card.

Step Four:
Now you have a bright and cheery Father’s Day card. We added a little star in the top corner as a extra little touch but you can leave it as it is if you wish!
